EXTRA-CURRICULAR

Extra-curricular activities are considered to be essential components of the School’s academic program, reflecting the holistic approach to the nurture and admonition of young people in a school with a Biblical Worldview.

MUSIC

Condell Park Christian School maintains a strong emphasis on a music program, both vocal and instrumental, throughout the whole school. This arises from the fact that music is a wonderful means of worshipping, serving and glorifying God. From the youngest of ages, students may participate in classes of music appreciation, music theory, choir, basic group instrument tuition, individual or small group instrument tuition, all the time focused on music styles that honour and glorify God.

Drama

School Drama Night is held each year in Term 3. All families and friends of the School are invited to witness our students presenting various platform items. The evening is an exciting time for all involved and a wonderful highlight in the year.

SPORT

Condell Park Christian School is a member of Christian Schools Sports Association (CSSA). As a CSSA member, we are able to send groups of students to participate in team sport competitions as well as individual events in swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. Annually, we run our own athletics carnival, combined with students of another Christian school with the best-placed competitors qualifying for the CSSA South Met Sydney Zone Primary and Secondary carnivals. Each year our students achieve some very fine results in these Zone carnivals, with a number of students qualifying for the CSSA State Athletics Carnivals.

Excursions and Camps

Regularly scheduled curriculum-linked excursions are an integral part also of the academic program for all students.  Upper Primary (Year 5-6) and High School participate in annual camps which not only help build long-lasting relationships between students but also achieve academic outcomes by visiting educational sites outside of Sydney.

Ministry Opportunities

Our School is also acutely aware of the many opportunities that lie immediately at our doorstep for students and staff to minister in service both practically and spiritually to those needy and less fortunate within our community. Throughout each year there are scheduled times where practical Christian service is conducted into Aged Care homes, or for distribution of Care Packages among the homeless and impoverished people  of our city.
